Jana Gana Mana - Indian National Anthem | Advait

The National Anthem of India - Jana Gana Mana, arranged and performed by Advait, filmed in the beautiful tea garden valleys of Munnar, Kerala, at the southernmost tip of India.

As Independence Day approaches, I am excited to share with you a new version of our National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" or "Jan Gan Man", bringing a modern touch while still retaining elegance and dignity, as a tribute to the rich heritage and culture that I am proud to be part of.

Please share this video with your friends and relatives, send them an Independence Day greeting!

The first half of this video is live - which means that the video you see is the actual footage of me singing while recording. All the instruments you hear, piano, strings, bells, tabla, etc were arranged and performed by me.

Enjoy!

Lyrics (composed and scored by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore):
Jana gaṇa mana adhināyaka jaya he
Bhārata bhāgya vidhātā
Punjāba Sind Gujarāṭa Marāṭhā
Drāviḍa Utkala Banga
Vindhya Himāchala Yamunā Gangā
Ucchala jaladhi taranga
Tava śubha nāme jāge
Tava śubha āśiṣa māge
Gāhe tava jaya gāthā
Jana gaṇa mangala dāyaka jaya he
Bhārata bhāgya vidhāta
Jaya he jaya he jaya he
Jaya jaya jaya jaya he!

English Translation:
Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
Dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sind,
Gujarat and Maratha,
Of the Dravida and Orissa and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
mingles in the music of Jamuna and Ganges and is
chanted by the waves of the Indian Ocean.
They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise.
The saving of all people waits in thy hand,
Thou dispenser of India's destiny.
Victory, victory, victory, Victory to thee.
